A planter made for an assignment at RIT. We were tasked with creating a planter for the company we picked for a previous research project. In my case, the company was La-Z-Boy, which was an interesting challenge. La-Z-Boy makes many products that aren't recliners, and a considerable portion of them do not look much like what most people think of when they think of "La-Z-Boy." They also don't seem to reference their recliners in their non-furniture products. So I designed a more basic planter that I thought they would have in their catalog rather than something that looked like their recliners. The final prototype is made of laser-cut MDF and hand-machined foam, both coated in spot putty, sanded, and spray painted.
