I am Lucas Gordon, a Senior Industrial Design student at Rochester Institute of Technology. I have always been a maker. I was introduced to LEGO and K’Nex at a young age, and I always gravitated toward activities with creative outlets. I have also always been interested in science and technology and finding ways to apply them to solve practical problems. Initially, I studied as a Mechanical Engineering student, thinking it would be a good combination of those interests. I quickly found it not to be very creatively fulfilling because nearly all of the work was theoretical. As soon as I heard of Industrial Design, I knew it was what I had been looking for and made the switch. I have been passionately working towards my degree since.
